On Brexit eve, Nigel Farage unveiled his portrait by Dan at L'Escargot, London. The portrait was made following a sitting in 2018 and is on a live public online auction HERE

Portrait Amnesty

Following a recent unveiling of portraits by of Marc Almond and Rachel Johnson at L'Escargot, Soho.

 

An exhibition of recent portraits by Dan. The exhibition will include unseen portrait paintings and drawings for sale, featuring sitters as diverse as HM the Queen, the last WW1 veterans that Dan sat with such as Harry Patch and Henry Allingham and pop icons such as Michael Jackson and David Bowie. A diverse collection that will coincide with Dan's launch for his Portraits for Amnesty series in collaboration with Amnesty International.  More info HERE

Dambusters Reunited

Reuniting the Dambusters for the 75TH Anniversary

A historic portrait exhibition took place in London and reunited the last surviving British Dambuster, Squadron Leader George 'Johnny' Johnson MBE, DFM, now aged 96 with his 132 squadron members. 

The night of 16th/17th May 2018 marked the 75th anniversary of the famous 'Dambuster' raid over Germany by 617 Squadron of the RAF using the ‘bouncing bombs’ invented by Barnes Wallis.  The raid was dramatised in the classic 1955 film, ‘The Dam Busters’.
