To coincide with the Bramley Fesitval, Southwell, Dan was comissioned by the family of the Bramley apple's founder, to make a series inspired by the original 'mother' bramley apple tree. A 220 y/o tree that has at least 2 million offspring around the world. It is regarded as one of the 50 most important heritage trees of the uk.
The etching was produced alonside one other etching and two paintings - unveiled by the family at Southwell Minster on Thurs 24th Oct.
40% of proceed will go towards the Mother Bramley Apple Rescue Fund a new structure support and maintainance programme for the orginal tree in Southwell and ensuring a legacy sapling and information point.
